Yasmine Bolden is a Pushcart Prize and Scholastic American Voices nominated Black American poet-author, part-time creative writing coach, actress, and racial justice advocate dedicated to nurturing the voices of and creating accessibility for young BIPOC involved in the arts. A Juneteenth Resiliency Awardee, she also curated a Black Youth Create online creative exhibit, and is a National Museum of African American History & Culture Young Historians Institute alumna. At heart, she's still the voracious reader who talked her way into getting more than the five book limit from her elementary school library. She'll be attending Johns Hopkins University in the autumn of 2021 as a Writing Seminars and Sociology intended double major. You can find out more about her on her website: bit.ly/blackpunningpoet.
